Job Description: Cybersecurity Program Manager (New Health Care Company) 3M is establishing two industry-leading companies, creating value through the spin-off of its Health Care business, while 3M will continue to be a global material science leader, focusing our innovation to win in favorable global megatrends and attractive end markets. The Impact You’ll Make in this Role As a Cybersecurity Program Manager, you will have the opportunity to tap into your curiosity and collaborate with some of the most innovative and diverse people around the world. Here, you will make an impact by: Providing leadership and direction to project teams, overseeing project execution ensuring overall program deliverables are met per cost, schedule and scope commitments, proactively handling escalations as necessary to ensure program goals are accomplished and are in line with business objectives. Continuously and proactively evaluating programs and the projects within them for risks and issues as well as cross-project / cross-program interdependencies, both within their native portfolio as well as across the enterprise. Providing leadership and guidance for effective mitigation strategies and plans, resolving conflicts and providing escalation support when necessary. Maintaining regular interactions with the executive sponsor and stakeholders to inform, alert, negotiate and maintain a continuing good relationship and shared vision for the program outcome. This includes providing regular status reports in various formats and forums ensuring full transparency of program status and health. Leading the development of the overall approach for the program, its major time frames and the definition of its major deliverables to address and meet the desired goals and outcomes. This includes establishing appropriate governance functions for the program in accordance with enterprise policies and practices, and on behalf of the executive sponsor or senior responsible owner. Maintaining responsibility for controlling program costs, maintaining an accurate forecast and regularly reporting variance against budget. Developing and maintaining project documentation, work plans, and project deliverables and ensure adherence to enterprise PMO methodologies, processes and tools. Your Skills and Expertise To set you up for success in this role from day one, 3M requires (at a minimum) the following qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Business Administration, Engineering or a related field 8-12 Years Project Management experience in a large multi-unit organization required. OR Highschool Diploma/GED with 14 years of Project Management experience AND 3-5 years supervisory experience overseeing large scale projects, global teams, project managers, application leads. Advanced program management skills in complex IT and business environments, including ability to coordinate multiple teams in various locations and time zones. Deep project management experience managing large-scale, global implementations. Must possess extensive knowledge and expertise in the use of Project Management methodologies and tools. Exceptional leadership skills, with the ability to develop and communicate the program objectives, inspire and motivate staff, and maintain alignment with the business strategy. Excellent analytical, strategic planning and execution skills. Additional qualifications that could help you succeed even further in this role include: Master's degree Information Systems, Business Administration, Engineering or a related field Ability to deal with a complex business model in a global environment Project Management certification (e.g., PMP) A high degree of political sensitivity, astuteness and the ability to use the informal power structure of the organization to achieve program success and overcome obstacles. A high level of empathy and the ability to vary styles of interaction to match the needs of a variety of temperaments and personalities. Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to explain and “sell” the program goals and objectives to the business, as well as technical leadership.
